What this site measures

There are no forms on this website, no newsletter sign-up, no chat widget and no advertising pixels, so there is nowhere to type your name. To see which pages people find useful and where the site is hard to use, it runs two analytics tools: Google Analytics, which counts visits and the pages that were read, and Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are scrolled and clicked. Both set cookies and receive the usual technical details of a visit, such as the device, the browser and a rough location. The interactive Google map on some pages is also loaded from Google, which may set its own cookies. The fonts are served from this site rather than from a font service.

The one thing that is processed

This site is delivered through Cloudflare, a content network that keeps it fast and online. Like every web host, Cloudflare briefly handles the IP address your device connects from in order to send the pages back to you and to block attacks. That is the ordinary machinery of the internet; it is not linked to your name, and it is not used to build a profile of you.

If you get in touch

Calling, texting or emailing Lou is a normal business conversation. He keeps what you tell him — the property address, your contact details, the inspection itself — for as long as he needs to do the work and to meet the record-keeping rules New York places on licensed home inspectors. He does not sell it, rent it or pass it to anyone except where the inspection agreement says so or the law requires it.
